SERVICES:
HWD specializes in commercial, industrial
and institutional work. As most of the work is negotiated, HWD is able to
provide budgets and preliminary design drawings so the feasability of projects
can be determined prior to spending large amounts of money on working drawings.
The types of projects HWD specialize in include:
NEW CONSTRUCTION:
- HWD has a wide range of experience in projects up
to three million dollars.
- Wood frame construction,
such as the 9,000 sq. ft. Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel.
- Masonry construction such as the recently completed
8,000 sq. ft. Dragon Palace Restaurant.
- Pre-engineered systems including the major expansion
of Risley Enterprises manufacturing plant.
- Combined systems such as the Masonry/Butler combination
used to build a 13,000 sq. ft. project for Marcur Management.
RENOVATIONS:
- Major renovations such as the Grande Cache Recreation
Center or specialized work such as the renovations to the Queen Elizabeth
II Emergency Ward.
TENANT IMPROVEMENTS:
- Jersey City and Manhattan Clothing in the Prairie
Mall.
MAINTENANCE:
- HWD performs ongoing maintenance work for companies
such as Canfor, AGT, and Risley Equipment.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Supervising construction and controlling budgets
as recently completed with the Town of Grande Cache for their new Tourism
Center.
SUB-CONTRACTING:
- As much of our work is done by our forces, we have
also performed a number of sub-contracts for owners or other General Contractors
who do not have the in-house experience or capabilities.
